Latin name: Vicia ervillia
Family: Fabaceae
Agronomic characteristics
A vetch that look like a lens with better biomass potential. The plants are not very tall but branch out well and provide good ground cover. Well developed, it is quite easily destroyed (freezing, rolling, etc.). Like some other legumes, it multiplies Aphanomyces. Its fairly low PMG (half to a third of that of vetches) limits the quantities of seeds to be handled and facilitates associations with small seeds.
