Etiopian mustard
Family: Brassicaceae

Latin name: Brassica carinata

Family: Brassicaceae

Agronomic characteristics

Crucifer less known than other mustards, it is similar to a cabbage. It rarely flowers in autumn, except in case of very early sowing, mild temperatures and early variety. Biomass production is good for long cycle cover crop. As for the varieties: Since Abyssinian mustard is the result of hybridization between common cabbage and black mustard, there are differences between varieties (shape and coloring of the leaves, earliness to flowering).
