Did you know that pollination improves yield and increases oil content?


• The pollination of sunflowers is approximately 30 % dependent on the action of pollinator insects.
• Promoting pollination in the field can increase yield (up to 2 quintals per hectare) and oil content.

DID YOU KNOW ?

In seed production, germinative capacity of sunflower seeds can increase by up to 10 points, depending on genetics, thanks to pollinators. That is why Lidea recommends 2 to 3 hives per hectare of sunflower to “boost” pollination.
