HERBICIDE PROTECTION OF CORN
Corn is an intensive crop, but in terms of herbicide protection, it does not require much treatment.
There are two phases in corn protection: foliar and root herbicides. When deciding on herbicide treatment, it is important to consider the type and extent of weed infestation of the plantation. The "safest" time to use herbicides on corn plants is 2/3 days before emergence. Post-emergence (foliar) weed control is more difficult, because of burdensome weeds: thistle, knotweed, couch-grass and bindweed. It is recommended to use split doses on different dates, as studies have shown that this promotes corn yield.
